Dear Dr. Metablog, I'm a psychiatrist who is very interested in the syndrome of the Replacement Child. In fact, my last post from Aug. 2012 on my blog, In Flux for Psychology Today is all about the Replacement Child, based on what's mostly in the literature. I'm interested in broadening the understanding by gathering information from those who are Replacement Children. I'd appreciate your insights. Best, Abigail Brenner

Fascinating, Doc.

That does explain a lot about Peter Sellers.

He said that the part he played closest to his own personality was Chance, the Gardner in Being There.

Are you reading a book on the Replacement Child Syndrome? Or is there a chance that your interest in the subject is more than academic?
