Sorry to revive such an old post, I'm a descendant of Stanley's brother and thought you might like a little bit of truth.
I don't have the whole story on Constance, but wasn't alone after Stanley and the boys passed. They had an older daughter who was 7 and in school at the time of the accident. She's moved away from the area and is reportedly somewhere out west now.

1985 is so recent! Surely there must be people around who remember Constance.

And would the local paper have an archive going back to 1952?
